Trialist Heaven Again Starts for U23s
Monday, 9th Sep 2019 18:48

Trialist George Heaven again plays for the U23s in this evening’s home game against Nottingham Forest at Portman Road, alongside Toto Nsiala, Will Keane, Ben Folami and Idris El Mizouni.

Heaven, 19, a centre-half, came through the academy at Leicester before being released last summer without making a senior appearance.

Early this summer, Heaven spent time on trial at West Ham, before he joined up with the Blues at the end of last month and played for the U23s in the 2-0 defeat at Birmingham.

Nsiala, Keane and Folami are involved as they work on their fitness after injury, while Idris El Mizouni is in midfield having ultimately not travelled to join up with the Tunisia U23s.

The 18-year-old wasn’t able to make the trip to Cameroon for their first leg match, which they lost 1-0, as he hadn’t undergone the required vaccinations and it was subsequently decided that he wouldn’t fly out for the second leg on Tuesday.

U23s: Wright, Crowe, Clements (c), Heaven, Nsiala, Ndaba, El Mizouni, Scott, Keane, McGavin, Folami. Subs: Alley, Cotter, Simpson, K Brown, Foudil.

Is that a 3-5-2 / 5-3-2?

Did ok and was probably the pick of a poor defensive display, worst culprit being Nsaba looks miles off being a first team player. I would definitely give Heaven another look.
